Miriam

  • Miriam May is a Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist with over 25 years experience in adult care, developing expertise in assessment, treatment and evaluation of adult patients in a wide variety of diagnostic groups. These include Brain Injury, Neurology, General Medical and Care of the Elderly, Oncology, Orthopedics, Learning Disabilities and Psychiatry.
  • Miriam worked at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery where she gained specialist experience in Acute Neurological conditions and Neurorehabilitation. During this time she completed research and developed a programme of Fatigue Management in Multiple Sclerosis.
  • Later working in Intermediate Care Teams, she was instrumental in developing services and processes for community rehabilitation and admission prevention and worked in Continuing Care Teams working with complex cases and End of life care.
  • Over the past 20 years Miriam has developed The Miriam May Occupational Therapy Practice setting up and developing services such as discharge planning and Orthopedic Services in Private Hospitals and providing high quality domiciliary Occupational Therapy to individuals across London and the Home Counties. 
  • Miriam is a specialist in Neurology and NeuroRehab offering 1:1 goal orientated treatment plans working with patients in their own homes. 
  • Miriam has a wide variety of treatment resources including FES and GripAble devices.
  •  Miriam is HCPC registered and is a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapy.
