Occupational Therapy works to enable individuals to achieve the highest level of functional ability in the everyday activities they need or want to undertake.
An Occupational Therapist can assist an individual to learn or re-learn skills in areas of everyday function such as:
· Caring for themselves (e.g. getting washed and dressed)
· Household tasks (e.g. making a drink or a meal)
· Job-related tasks (e.g. writing, using a computer, managing your work day)
· Leisure activities (e.g. resuming an individual’s previous interests or developing new ones)
